Return to Learn: In-Person or Remote Learning Selection for Quarter One (August 17th - October 16) and Arrival Information
*If you have more than one child you wish to enroll in Remote Learning, please submit this form for each child.
*Selections must be made by Wednesday, August 5th.  If you do not make a selection your child(ren) will be enrolled In-Person.
*Registration for school must be completed via the SISK12 portal, regardless of the learning style you choose.
*If the Remote Learning Option is chosen, you are committed for the entire quarter.  If In-Person Instruction is chosen, you may move to Remote Learning, but your child(ren) must remain Remote for the remainder of the quarter.

IN-PERSON LEARNING:
*By enrolling your child for in-person learning, you are agreeing that you and your child will comply with the criteria for in-person instruction, including performing a daily self-certification health check of your child prior to sending your child to school, and your child’s compliance with school safety procedures, such as wearing a face covering while on a school bus and while present in a school building, unless your child meets the criteria for an exemption from wearing a face covering. Students enrolled in in-person instruction will attend school five days per week with five clock hours of instruction/learning activities per day. Work completed at home is included in the five clock hours of learning activities. Students will be dismissed each day at 12:15 p.m. from the Beckemeyer campus and 12:30 p.m. from the Breese campus. The 12:15 p.m./12:30 p.m. dismissal is only for students. All staff will be required to remain at the schools for the day in order to coordinate remote learning.

REMOTE LEARNING:
*You may elect to enroll your child for remote learning if you want to limit your child’s exposure and contact with other individuals during the current pandemic or you do not want your child to comply with the in-person safety rules. By enrolling your child for remote learning, you are making an irrevocable commitment to remote learning for a minimum of one quarter (9 weeks). Students enrolled in the remote learning option will participate remotely five days per week with five clock hours of instruction/learning activities scheduled/assigned per day. Your child will not be eligible to participate in extracurricular activities during any period of time he/she is enrolled in the remote learning program.

Families should expect the same level of rigor as students experience when learning in-person. Students will be required to log on daily (with internet access) and complete lessons. Students will be responsible for all assignments. Grading on assignments and assessments will be communicated in a timely manner to students. Students should expect to complete assignments and assessments within the deadline communicated by the teacher.

Student Attendance during Remote Learning will be taken daily. A more detailed explanation for the method of taking remote learning attendance will be shared at a later date. Teachers will document student attendance and keep a log of all absences. This log will be communicated to the main office for record keeping purposes.
