ASAP is offering a limited number of scholarships for farmers located within our Appalachian Grown region to attend the Business of Farming Conference:
1. Limited Resource Scholarship: For an individual with
direct or indirect gross farm sales not more than the current indexed value in each of the previous two years ($189,200 in 2022) and who has a total household income at or below the national poverty level for a family of four ($27,750 in 2022), or less than 50 percent of county median household income in each of the previous two years.
2. Racial Equity Scholarship: For Black, Indigenous and other People of Color (BIPOC), to support more diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Appalachian Grown Network.
The scholarship award covers 100% of the registration cost. Applications will be reviewed and awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Priority will be given to applicants who are currently farming or seriously pursuing farming as a profession, who have not attended the conference before. Depending on availability, scholarships may be awarded to only ONE person from each farm.
