Culture Night is an annual, all-island free public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. This year, it will take place on Friday 18th September 2020.

The theme for Derry-Strabane’s Culture Night 2020 is “Sense of Place” and is open to interpretation.
The format for Culture Night in previous years focused on arts and cultural organisations and venues of all shapes and sizes, from independent studios and art-spaces to national cultural institutions, extending their opening hours to allow increased access for the public.

The format for delivery for CN 2020 will be adjusted to account for current times and we will present a hybrid model of delivery. We welcome events which can be presented online and in-venue or site specific works which follow the social distancing guidelines which are in place at the time of the event. Event organisers are responsible for ensuring current social distancing guidelines are adhered to, DCSDC can offer advice and guidance with this.

DCSDC Business & Culture will support a joined up approach to programming and delivery among local business and the arts and cultural sector. We will support additional low level animation, collective marketing and promotion of events on our local platforms and also as part of Culture Night Ireland. We will supply a brand toolkit which you can also use to support promotion of your events also.
