2019 The Mission to Seafarers Victoria & ANL Maritime Art Awards & Exhibition - Entry Form
The MtSV Annual Maritime Art Awards & Exhibition is a national competition hosted at the Mission to Seafarers Victoria in Docklands, Melbourne. The Exhibition will be open for viewing from 4th October to 20th October, 10am to 8pm daily.
The Opening Night of the exhibition will be held on Thursday 3rd October at 6.30pm.

Entries must address the theme: 'the Relationship of Humanity to the Sea'
Entries close at 5pm on 30th August 2019

Prizes
Artists are invited to submit work(s) for:
The acquisitive ‘ANL Maritime Art Award’ valued at $15,000
The acquisitive ASP ‘Best in Traditional Maritime Art Award’ valued at $5,000
The non-acquisitive  ‘Emerging Artist Award’ valued at $2,000
The non-acquisitive Viva Energy ‘People’s Choice Award’ valued at $2,000
The non-acquisitive Nevile & co ‘Runners up’ valued at $2,000
Other commendations in each category may be announced but will not receive a prize

Selection
All artists will be notified of their submission outcome by email on or before the 9th September 2019 and finalists are invited to present their work to:
‘The Mission to Seafarers Victoria, 717 Flinders Street, Docklands, VIC, 3008’
between Tuesday 10th & Tuesday 17th September 2019 only.  

Selected works will be featured following the Opening Night online at missiontoseafarers.com.au/art-prize 
Judging
- Judging for the ANL Art Awards will take place on Monday 30th September and the winners in each category will be announced at the official opening. Selected artists will be formally invited to attend the Opening of the ANL Maritime Art Award and Exhibition with one guest.
- Decisions made by both the selection and judging panels are final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into regarding this process.
- The Judges are:  
Dr. Charles Green, Professor of Contemporary Art at the University of Melbourne, artists, and author of several books on Contemporary Australian Art;
Mr Graeme H. Williams OAM,  Collector, Board Melbourne of the Lorne Sculpture Biennale 2020 and past curator of Melbourne Savage Club Art Prize;
Ms.Catherine De Boer, Artist, Designer & Educator.
