LaGuardia Humanitarian Initiative's (LHI) theme for the academic year 2020-2021 is “Borders, Home, and Migration” (United Nations Sustainable Goal 16).

LHI’s inclusive platform supports faculty, staff, and students in translating classroom learning, pedagogy, and lived experiences into national and global projects leading to social change. This academic year, keeping in tune with our present social, racial, and political climate and the increasing need to connect classroom learning with community service, LHI will advocate, educate and fundraise for the migrant and refugee population: locally, nationally, and globally.
