Minneapolis & St. Paul Sick/Safe Time Policies for Performing Arts Organizations
Monday, April 22nd, 2019
3:30pm-5:30pm
Hamline Midway Library Auditorium

Sick and safe time are laws in Minneapolis and St. Paul protecting time off work. This local law creates access to sick and safe time for all, including part time workers.

It has been a little over a year since the new St. Paul and Minneapolis Sick and Safe Time ordinances went in to effect.  As performing arts practitioners who work in or administer performing arts organizations, these new policies may come with additional questions regarding the unique nature of our field.

Join the Minnesota Theater Alliance and Technicians for Change as we welcome Brian Walsh, from the City of Minneapolis for a brief presentation regarding the policies, and time for an industry-specific question and answer session. Luke Weisberg, who helped create the current ordinances will also be in attendance.

This event is intended for both workers and administrators, to gain clarity on how these policies are to be implemented in the performing arts industry. Workers (technicians, designers, performers, administrators, stage managers, front of house, box office) in the performing arts, managing/executive directors, technical directors, production managers, human resources, operations managers, are encouraged to attend.

Space is Limited. Please RSVP below.
