Greetings Potential Scholarship Candidate:

The membership of Alpha Theta Omega Chapter of Iota Phi Theta® Fraternity, Incorporated is pleased to announce that it will award two $750 scholarships in the name of Most Honorable Founder Dr. Elias A. Dorsey, a founder of Iota Phi Theta®.  
Eligibility requirements for the Dr. Elias A. Dorsey Scholarship are:
A. An African-American male high school senior graduating in 2022.
B. Acceptance from an accredited four-year degree granting institution.
C. A cumulative high school GPA of 2.50 (A=4.0) or higher.
D. Participation in extracurricular activities.

Alpha Theta Omega Chapter of Iota Phi Theta® Fraternity, Incorporated is delighted that you have chosen to pursue post-secondary education. All applicants for the Most Honorable Founder Dr. Elias A. Dorsey Scholarship must submit all the following in your application package.

1. Completed scholarship application.
2. A 750-1000 word (typed and double spaced) essay describing why you should you be selected for a scholarship.  Please describe any academic achievements, community service activities, examples of leadership, or other personal characteristics that make you deserving of this scholarship.
3. Resume.
4. An official high school transcript in a sealed envelope.
5. A copy of a letter of acceptance from an accredited four-year degree granting institution.

All materials must be mailed to the address below.  The postmark deadline is May 28, 2022.  Late or incomplete application packets will not be reviewed.
