If you are a new teacher, certified or non-certified in a teaching role, or a teacher in a new teaching area, certified or non-certified in a teaching role, we have several options of support designed to help you grow professionally and network with other teachers to share and ideas, support and build a network both in your district and outside with other schools to share strategies--instructional, classroom management, remote learning, special education and SEL.
The two options of support are:
1) First Year Teachers, certified or non-certified in a teaching role:
New teachers will receive comprehensive support and technical assistance through our New Teacher Support Cadre. This program includes monthly one-hour after school zoom meetings to allow time for new teachers to network and participate in timely and relevant professional learning conversations related to their teaching experience. This program also includes 4 observations (to be discussed regarding virtual, video or live) and zoom coaching from a certified mentor - one observation and a coaching visit per quarter - to provide support and feedback on personal teaching goals and needs. Additional virtual coaching visits are available to provide the support you feel you need.
2) Non-Tenured or Teachers in a New Teaching Area:
Non-Tenured teachers will receive comprehensive support through the Teacher Coaching Cadre. This program includes monthly one-hour after school zoom meetings to allow time for new teachers to network and participate in timely and relevant professional learning conversations related to their teaching experience.
This program also includes two observations (to be discussed regarding virtual, video or live) and virtual coaching visits from a certified mentor - one (to be discussed regarding virtual, video or live) observation and a virtual coaching visit in the first semester and one observation and a virtual coaching visit in the second semester - to provide support and feedback on personal teaching goals and needs for professional growth. Additional virtual coaching visits are available to provide the support you feel you need.
