Sing Ireland, supported by the European Choral Association, is looking to submit a project application under the next Creative Europe call. This call has not yet been announced, but is potentially going to be launched in November 2022, with a deadline in January 2023.
The project application that we are looking to submit
will support the inclusion of people with additional needs
due to either disability or health issues through collective
singing.
As you will know, collective
singing can have enormous benefits to people's health and
wellbeing. As a result, there are many areas where
additional needs might be identified from pre-school level
right up to older age. There are many physical and mental
health conditions that benefit from collective singing
interventions and so perhaps there are appropriate
activities, events or initiatives that you are running or could run that might be
relevant here.
Would you be interested to partner in this project?
Let us know by Friday 2 September 2022!
Your contribution could be in terms of, for example:
- making your event(s) more accessible and inclusive for people with additional needs
- creating activities relating to people with additional needs
- research or development of guidelines for the inclusion of people with additional needs in collective singing
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- The grant from the EU totals 200.000€. It is not 100% funding. Partners must be able to provide around 30% co-funding for their share of EU funding.
- The funding from the EU is given in two instalments: 70% at the beginning of the project, 30% at the end of the project, once the reporting has been approved. This means that you must be able to bridge the gap to the end of the project, which may be approximately 2 years long.
We look forward to receive your interest and will make a decision on the most appropriate activities for the project application in early September.
