WILD RICE CAMP RELEASE AGREEMENT
The undersigned is hereby authorized to participate in the WILD RICE CAMP and related events, sponsored by the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community (KBIC) Natural Resources Department, Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College, Great Lakes Indian Fish & Wildlife Commission and Michigan Technological University, with my full consent and permission as evidenced by my acknowledgement to this agreement.
 
I understand that certain events involved in the WILD RICE CAMP, September 2-4, 2022, can be dangerous and I assume the risk thereof for and on behalf of my child, named above.  I understand that my child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times during the event.
 
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the WILD RICE CAMP events, I hereby RELEASE AND DISCHARGE AND HOLD HARMLESS the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community (KBIC) and the employees, Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College (KBOCC) and employees, ,Great Lakes Indian Fish & Wildlife Commission (GLIFWC) and employees, Michigan Technological University (MTU) and the employees, and Camp teachers and volunteers from and against ANY AND ALL demands, claims, liability, actions and causes of action for bodily injury or death and for any losses, costs, expenses and damages resulting there from and which may be suffered or incurred as a result of me or my child’s participation in any of the WILD RICE CAMP events.
 
I have read this document and I understand that I may, at any time, ask questions or request further explanation or information regarding the WILD RICE CAMP.  I agree to all of the terms and conditions contained in this document.  I understand that I am giving up substantial rights including my right to sue, and acknowledge that I am acknowledging this document freely and voluntarily, and intend by my acknowledgement to provide a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.  My acknowledgement of this document is intended to bind not only myself and my child, but also my successors, heirs, representatives, administrators and assigns.
 
I hereby grant KBIC, KBOCC, GLIFWC, MTU and their employees, agents and assigns the right to photograph me or my child and use the photo and or other digital reproduction of him/her or other reproduction of his/her physical likeness for publication processes, whether print, digital or electronic publishing via the Internet.
 
Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and an individual may be asked to leave a station and/or the event.
