Alumnae hold a special place in the Academies community, and within this group, Distinguished alumna Fredericka Slingerland, known to her many friends as “Freddie,” set the standard for volunteer service and philanthropy in the Capital Region. She was extremely loyal and generous to those organizations fortunate enough to have her support. In memory of Freddie, we honor an alumna who continuously gives her time, talent, and energy to benefit the school and the greater community.
