By joining the Fort Wayne GUARD basketball team, I agree to uphold the following program rules:                      1. I will seek to glorify God with the talents he has gifted me and will strive to honor God with my words, actions, and play. *

2. I will maintain my school work to a level acceptable to my parents/guardians. *

3. I will be respectful to my parents, coaches, teammates, opponents, officials and spectators.  I will use appropriate language and tone when communicating with them. *

4. I will arrive on time for all practices, meetings, and games, with only emergencies and illness being acceptable reasons for tardiness or absence.  Frequent absences or tardiness to practice or games will result in loss of playing time. *

5. I will notify my coach if I will not be at a game. *

6. I will show self-control by not participating in the use of profane language, alcohol, or drugs. *

7. I will keep my focus on basketball and avoid pairing off with a person of the opposite gender during all trips, practices, and games. I am representing the Guard and being a role model for my peers. Public display of affection is not allowed during practice or while I am in uniform.   *

8. I will abide by the following dress code:                      • No jewelry will be worn during practice or games   • Maintain a clean cut appearance during the season, (no radical hairstyles or colors; long hair will be pulled up and secured).                                                           •      Dress modestly, (including no halter tops or short shorts, undergarments should not be visible, shirts must be worn at all times, shorts should not rolled up.) *

9.   I will be responsible for any uniform or equipment checked out to me and will return it in a timely manner at the conclusion of the season. Any item not returned will be charged to me at the current replacement cost. *

10.   I understand that playing time is a function of my attitude, ability, and practice effort and is based solely upon the coach's discretion. *

11.   I will willingly accept constructive criticism from my coaches. *

12.   I will attempt to resolve conflict following the Matthew 18 model:                                                                   1. Go to the individual personally to seek resolution.   2.     If a private discussion does not resolve this issue, I will speak to the individual with a coach present. *

 I will respect the use of our rented facilities, (i.e. Mount Calvary/Spiece). *

14.   I will join my team in devotions and prayer with a willing spirit.   *
