Thank you for your interest in Alpha Epsilon Delta! We hope to see you at one of our info sessions on 1/25 at 6:00-7:00 pm, 1/26 at 6:00-7:00 pm, or at one of our Hooked on AED events on Wednesday, 1/27, Thursday 1/28, and Friday 1/29. Applications will be due that Friday, January 29th at 11:59 pm. The Zoom links for these events will be posted on the AED Spring 21 Recruitment Facebook page.

IMPORTANT: In order to apply, it is required that you attend one of the events during our Hooked on AED Week, either one of our info sessions or our events on Wednesday - Friday. This is to help you really get to know what the AED community is like here at UT and if it will be a good fit for you. If you do not attend one of these events, your application will not be considered. If you cannot make it to any of these events, please feel free to email president@texasaed.org.

Because you cannot apply without attending one of our Hooked on AED events, please do not submit your application anytime before our first info session on Monday, January 25th. Any applications submitted before then will not be considered.

Here are our organization's requirements for new members:

-be on a pre-health track (if you do not know if you are on a pre-health track, feel free to email president@texasaed.org to ask any questions)
-maintain a general GPA of at least 3.2, as well as a 3.2 average in the sciences
-We normally have yearly dues, but due to COVID-19 and the remote nature of the semester, there will be no dues for this semester. Dues are normally $90 per semester for pledges and $70 per semester for actives, or $120 per year for actives. Depending on what ends up happening in the spring, we may bring back dues after this semester.
-attend 3 general meetings (every other Tuesday 5:45 - 7:00 pm) or compensate with social points
-attend 3 out of 4 pledge meetings (Tuesdays between general meetings from 5:45 - 7:00 pm)
-must meet point requirements to successfully cross over as a pledge
             -social - 8 points
             -volunteer - 4 points
             -pre-health - 6 points
Points are earned by participating in various events organized throughout the semester. The point requirements will be entirely achievable through virtual events; we don't want physical distance this semester to prevent you from participating in AED!

Interview offers will be sent out by email after all applications are read. Interviews will take place the week after the written application is due (2/1 - 2/5).
