Look at pages 3-4. Invite your child to describe the pictures on those pages. Tell your child that they are going to be making a prayer box. Of which they can add prayers to. *

For this activity your child will need crayons, scissors, and tape or glue. Start off with the crayons to color in Lent at the top of page 3. Next they will need scissors. Direct them to cut on the heavy solid lines on page 3 that have the scissor icon. Next, help your child fold on all the dotted lines. Make sure they fold it twice, backward and forward, so the sides of the box will be easy for them to manipulate. After folding the sides then they are ready for either the tape or glue. *

As your child finishes their box, go over the prayer strip that was at the very top of pages 3-4. Ask your child what is something that they want to pray for and help them write it out on the prayer strip. *
