LIGO Homeschool Day April 25th
The LIGO Hanford Observatory's next Homeschool Day will be Thursday April 25th from 12:30pm - 3:30pm. Students will be divided into 3 groups by age. All groups will have the opportunity to see demonstrations, interact with our hands-on exhibits, and tour the LIGO facility, and each group's experience will be tailored to best suit their age group. We recommend this event for students in 4th grade and above. All activities will be conducted simultaneously and students will rotate through each opportunity.

Groups will be divided as follows:
Group 1: Elementary aged students - These would be students who would generally be considered 4th-5th graders or ages 9-10. We recommend LIGO field trips for students in 4th grade and above.

Group 2: Middle school aged students - These would be students who would generally be considered 6th-8th graders or ages 11-13.

Group 3: High school aged students - These would be students who would generally be considered 9th-12th graders or ages 14-18.

Please let us know how many students you plan to bring for each of the groups. We understand students may not fit neatly into these categories, however the experience for each group will be designed for these general age ranges.
