The BJCP certification program requires a commitment of time and money. The money is pretty straightforward:
- entrance exam $10 (online)
- judging exam $40 (in-person, probably Tempe)
- so many practice beers $??
- sensory kit (maybe) $100 for up to 20 people
The time part is flexible, but plan on at least 6 tasting events where we get together and practice judging and discussing. Making the most of the group's time is the point of the survey below.
