Chess Club regular meetings are held on Mondays at 7:30 AM in the Media Center (grades 3-5) and Science Lab (K-2). The first meeting will be September 18. At the club meetings, we split into small groups, do a short lesson (5-10 minutes), and students play games against each other for about 20 minutes with some light coaching.

There will be occasional tournaments which are generally on Saturdays and completely optional. Each week I will send an email out with a list of some of the upcoming events.

There is no required fee for the club, but we will accept donations through the PTA website at this link: https://www.opknightspta.com/store/product/CHESSCLUB
Funds are used to pay for team tournament fees, for one professional instructor for the advanced students, and for T-shirts. A $25 donation is suggested.
