In March 2023 we are launching our first GeoPython course by Unlock.it.
This course is ideal for anyone who wants to enhance their skillset with geospatial programming and geospatial professionals who wants to jump into continue with learning Python.
In 11 weeks, you shall have
2 x 2 hours of live lessons with a lecturer per week. One lesson will focus on explaining the problems, second one will be providing more hands on experience.
We are starting the course on 5.4.2023 and finishing on 17.6.2023.

Know basics of Python and want to improve your work with geospatial data and analysis.
Or you are geospatial professional with desire to step your game with programming.
Or you are simply interested about the magic behind digital maps.
How much will it cost?
599 EUR
Price includes all lessons with lecturers and their recordings as well as materials, additional exercises and online support between lectures.
Which topics will course cover?
Basic Python foundations necessary for further topics
Working in Jupyter environment
Reading files and performing requests to APIs
Introduction into databases, PostGIS and spatial SQL
Working with pandas, geopandas and moving pandas
Working with raster data in Python and modern libraries (rasterio, ...)
GDAL and Python GDAL
Numpy, xarray and introduction to datacubes
Visualiations using pyleaflet
Scripting in QGIS
Sharing your results and interpretation
Successful completion and certificate will be granted after:
- Attending at least 75% of sessions
- Finishing four projects and their submission
After fulfilling above mentioned requirements, you shall be awarded a certificate of completion, which you can attach to your CV.
Language of course will be English.

Q: Can I ask for a scholarship?
A: Yes, let's talk if we can give you scholarship! In the end of the application form, check the option regarding scholarship as Yes and then write us an email on tyna@unlock.it how can scholarship help you.
Q: Can you create an invoice on a company?
A: Yes, in the registration form, fill in the billing details of the company and we will create it accordingly.
Q: Can I gift the course to someone?
A: Yes, after submitting the registration, we shall get in touch with you and send you a gift certificate.

Do not forget to check your Spam folder. If we confirm your attendance, the price for the course must be paid in full until 14 days from receiving the invoice.
Cancellation policy:
We understand that anything can change from the time you sign up for the course, and that you will not be able to participate in the course and will opt out.
If you let us know more than 15 days before the planned start of the course, we will refund you all the money. If you let us know between 14 and 8 days before the start of the course, we will refund 50% of the money paid, the other 50% will be kept as a cancellation fee. If you cancel 7 days or less before the start of the course, unfortunately we will have to keep 100% of the money paid as a cancellation fee. Under the stated conditions, we return the money no later than 14 days from the moment you opt out from the course.
