Background:
For centuries, Research has led to the advancement of science and innovations. It is what backs up all arguments, be it involving our human body or talking about the medical education systems. IFMSA firmly believes that research and research education should be made accessible and available to medical students worldwide. Medical education systems around the world should recognize research as an integral part of their medical curriculum. This survey aims to assess the exposure of medical students worldwide to research education and research opportunities, their satisfaction with research in their medical curriculum, and the research competencies received through their university.Objective:
To understand the status of research skills and research in medical education across medical education systems worldwideTarget population:
- Inclusion criteria: medical students currently enrolled in medical schools and consenting to participate in the survey
- Exclusion criteria: students of other healthcare professions, medical students not consenting to participate in the survey, and medical graduates
