Calderdale-based dance theatre company Northern Rascals are creating a brand new show ‘SUNNY | SIDE’ based on their experiences of growing up in Calderdale. 

They’re looking for a group of local young people to get involved and work towards a short performance before the show's premiere at Square Chapel on the 5th October.

This is a free opportunity for young people from Calderdale aged 14-30 to be part of a brand-new dance theatre project that looks at the modern young adult experience. Set in a small English Everytown; a self-proclaimed ‘rain-soaked paradise’ in God’s Own Country, the work considers how our mental health is affected when we come of age in a turbulent world.

How to get involved:

Northern Rascals are looking for a cast of young people to be a part of the project. We will work together over a period of 5 weeks towards a curtain raiser for the premiere of the professional show. The project is aimed at young people, aged 14-30, who can commit to all dates. 

Information:

Participate in 5 sessions with a small core team of young people. Led by Northern Rascals & our creative collaborators, this will result in a performance at Square Chapel Arts Centre, in Halifax on the 5th October.
