Brummer Lego Robotics
Brummer is excited to announce the return of a competition Lego Robotics team!

Brummer's Lego League will follow the engineering process. Our team will learn to design, build, program and compete with LEGO robots. Students will be required to complete an innovation project (similar to a science fair project) that every team member will need to be involved in the research, design, and presentation. There is an emphasis on Core Values, collaboration, and teamwork. The Team will compete in a mandatory LEGO robotics competition that will take place in the spring. The day long competition is held on a Saturday. The date has yet to be announced. Students will be required to complete an innovation project (similar to a science fair project) that every team member will need to be involved in the research, design, and presentation.

The team will meet every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm starting in mid/late November and run through the spring.

Team cost per child is $100.00 and will cover team t-shirts, food while at the spring competition, and other team expenses throughout the year.

Our new team will be made up of 8 students and is open to all 4th and 5th graders. Completing the the Google Form does not automatically guarantee a spot on the team. Depending on interest, the coaches may look at accepting first come-first serve or implementing a lottery system to determine placement on the team.

Students with parents that are willing to volunteer regularly will have a higher priority in making the team. Parent volunteers do not have to have engineering or coding skills, however they must have a willingness to volunteer on a regular basis. Volunteers may be asked to lead the Innovation Project, teach programming skills, or help with administrative tasks. A lot of effort goes into making a successful robotics team and consistent parent volunteer support is vital in creating a competitive robotics team.

I am looking forward to a great 1st season!
