Discourse Discussion Group (DDG@UQ)
DDG is a space for discussion of what happens in discourse, primarily exploring interactional data. In some weeks, we have topic-specific readings and datasets that are linked to those topics. The other weeks are generic and we analyse the data without any specific topic in mind.

Anyone can join without any prior knowledge of (micro-level) discourse analysis, pragmatics or basics of conversation analysis.

Since we are using specific terminology, it might be a bit difficult at the beginning, but do not give up immediately - there's so much in interaction that is complex and fascinating!

If you are ready to challenge your critical and analytical skills, fill in the form. You will receive the venue information shortly (we meet at UQ, St Lucia campus). If you have any other questions, please contact Dr Valeria Sinkeviciute at v.sinkeviciute@uq.edu.au
