Crisis Center of West Texas would like to thank you for considering becoming a volunteer for our 8th Annual Wonder Girls Camp. Camp will take place on Tuesday - Thursday at Crossroads Church and then move to Chevron HQ on Friday for a field trip!

We are looking for Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders to help our campers navigate camp for the entire week.  If you cannot commit to the entire week, we are also in need of general volunteers who will help with meals, set-up, and general tasks.

We are looking for volunteers ages 18 and up for Assistant Team Leaders/Team Leaders, but younger volunteers are welcomed to apply for more general volunteer duties.

Training Day will be Saturday 6/22/24 from 9am-10am for all volunteers and continue to 11am for Team Leaders and Assistant Leaders. Team Leaders will be in charge of a group of up to 8 campers and help guide them through the full days of activities. Assistant Team Leaders will be co-leading a group of campers alongside their Team Leaders and will assist with whatever is needed with guiding the campers through their daily activities. Other general volunteers may assist with other duties like helping with serving or preparing food, setting up, tearing down, or clean up for shorter periods rather than committing to the duration of the camp.

All volunteers will be subject to background checks and volunteer paperwork.

What will be provided?
  • Camp t-shirt (Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders will receive 2 t-shirts)
  • Light breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages (exact menu to be announced)
  • Transportation to/from Chevron for the Field trip
  • Volunteer or Texas Scholar hours, if needed
  • Opportunity to take part in mentorship and fun activities with campers!

We will be going over the paperwork, itinerary, expectations, etc. Further in depth trainings are required for team leaders and assistant team leaders, which will require longer duration in training. This training is required. A light breakfast and coffee will be provided for all volunteers.
