Moderator Sign-Up - AFK Online for PAX Online 2020
Thank you for your interest in helping Take This launch its first ever AFK Online, which will be supporting attendees of PAX Online from September 12-20!

More than just a "quiet room," many attendees have come to rely on the Take This AFK Room as part of their experience at many major cons. We plan to continue providing that service in a virtual space by managing a moderated Discord server that has been specifically configured to serve the needs of PAX attendees.

AFK Online will help attendees keep or regain their sense of calm during the nine intense days of PAX Online by providing education, resources, and a listening ear to those who need it. Our server will be staffed 24 hours a day with clinicians and volunteers who are ready to help!

Your role as a moderator is to ensure that the AFK Online server remains a safe, positive space for all users. You will be greeting and interacting with attendees, keeping the peace, and directing struggling attendees to clinicians and resources.

Because you would be working with a potentially vulnerable population, we do ask that you have prior moderating experience and that you can provide at least one reference who can speak to your ability to moderate in a compassionate, understanding, yet firm manner. We also require that AFK Online moderators attend a one hour-long online training to ensure that everyone feels comfortable in their role.

This form should only take you a few minutes. The information we gather here is not shared with third-party vendors. We hate spam as much as you do.
