What: 2023 Summer Vendor Application
Who: Farmers, growers, value-added producers, bakers, and others who sell homemade, home grown, and hand crafted items produced in Michigan. This application is also for hot food vendors, massage therapists, energy healers, henna artists, nonprofits and market sponsors.

Choose the category that represents the majority of items you plan to sell. 

Agricultural/Value Added vendors sell food-producing plants, fruits, veggies, herbs, mushrooms, eggs, cheese, butter, beef, pork, poultry, fish, lamb, goat, jerky, caramel apples, jams, pickles, honey, syrup, spices, seasonings, sauces, chips, salsas, dip mixes, bottled craft beverages (e.g. kombucha), rice flour, roasted coffee beans, and frozen foods. These vendors accept SNAP benefits.

Sweets/Baked Goods vendors sell yeast breads, quick breads, cookies, pies, cakes, cupcakes, cobblers, brownies, sweet rolls, coffee cakes, cheesecakes, muffins, scones, turnovers, chocolates, candies, cotton candy. These vendors accept SNAP benefits.

Hot Foods/Ready to Eat vendors sell hot meals, a la carte items, salads, fruit cups, and hot or cold beverages poured onsite and intended for immediate consumption. Requires proper licensing. These vendors CANNOT accept SNAP benefits.

Non-Food/Arts & Crafts vendors sell products designed and created by the vendor's own hand, but not for human consumption. These include pet snacks, soaps/scrubs/bombs, lotions/balms/tinctures, candles/scents, jewelry, knit/crochet items, embroidery, sewn/quilted items, wood/glass/metal/leather items, houseplants/macramé, home goods, clothing and accessories. This category is also for massage, energy healing, henna, and local businesses. These vendors CANNOT accept SNAP benefits. 

Nonprofit vendors share their mission, programs, and services with shoppers. The booth fee for approved nonprofits may be waived once per season. Nonprofits provide their own canopy, table, and chair. For additional dates, or if a group wishes to use their booth for sales or fundraising activities, the daily rate applies.  

Day Sponsors are individuals, businesses, government agencies, etc., who choose up to three (1-3) dates per season to financially support and be recognized by South Lansing Farmers Market. Day Sponsors receive a free booth, canopy, table, and chairs, and the opportunity to share their products and services with 500+ shoppers at each market and over 5K market followers on social media.  
Vendor-grown or -made items *
List all items grown, baked, crafted, or otherwise made by you for sale at the market. This includes services like massage, energy healing, and henna. Please indicate if items are grown organically, made with organic products, or satisfy specific dietary needs (gluten-free, sugar-free, etc). If you aren't planning to sell anything vendor-grown or -made, write 'NONE.'
Brokered items
Brokered items are subject to approval by market staff. Brokered goods may not represent more than 25% of items offered at your booth, and unless there is unmet demand, may not duplicate items being grown or produced by other vendors at the market. List all items grown, baked, or crafted by someone other than you that you wish to sell at the market. Include the source (name of Michigan farm or person who produced it) and the city where it was grown or made. 
Sponsors & Nonprofits
Describe your organization and the products or services you'd like to promote at the market. Also indicate if you plan to use your booth to conduct surveys or fundraising activities during the market.
How many booths? *
Each vendor space is 10x10. Vendors provide canopy, tables, and chairs.
Do you require electricity? *
Access is limited and costs $5 per market. Approved vendors must provide their own extension cords and power strips.

Waiver of Liability *
I hereby waive all claims and release, indemnify and hold harmless the South Lansing Community Development Association and South Lansing Farmers Market, its employees, interns, volunteers, board members, and funders from any and all legal and financial liability for injury, property damage, and any other loss suffered or caused by me, my employees, and/or volunteers in association with my participation as a vendor at the South Lansing Farmers Market. This waiver and release apply to all current and future causes of action by me or on my behalf by family members, heirs, and assigns.
