Abstract:
The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, and seasonal outbreaks of water and vector-borne diseases, calls out for reforming the health system in India. Taking a pragmatic view of the situation around us, treating the existing governance reality as a constraint, this conversation will aim to find a way to reform the system in order to maximise public benefit.

The discussion will be related to developing a full health systems design strategy for India. The focus will be to see if consumer choice and services marketing, in the context of primary healthcare, will take us forward.
