TERMS & CONDITIONS
As part of its service to parents, the School makes provision for offering a Bus Service. The service operates on a non-profit basis, aiming to only cover costs. These include drivers' wages, registration, insurance, fuel, repairs and maintenance.

Acceptance of this service is based on acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

1. The service is available to any pupil in the School living within the bus route district (as established by the Principal). Places are allocated following a written request from the parent and are subject to availability of a seat.
2. There is flat-rate charge of $700 per term for this ‘door to door’ service.
3. The fee for one-way travel is $500 per term.
4. Casual bookings are available upon request to the school office. The fee for a casual booking is $12 per trip. For more information please contact bus@claremont.nsw.edu.au
5. The above fees will be charged to the Term Account in arrears with the exception of Year 6 Term 4.
6. The fee (including wages, registration, insurance, running costs, maintenance etc) is based on the total cost of operating the bus service and is averaged across the year. There can therefore be no reduction for absences due to sickness, camps, before school activities, excursions and the like.
7. Parent must undertake to make an alternative emergency arrangement for the morning run in the event that there is a mechanical breakdown of a bus. The school will make arrangements for the afternoon run in the event of a breakdown.
8. If payment in respect of any pupil is not made regularly and in advance, the place on the bus cannot be maintained for that pupil.
9. If a child misbehaves on the bus, he/she will be excluded from traveling on the bus.
10. The school and the drivers do their best to provide a reliable service. However, exact times for ‘pick-up’ and ‘drop-off’ cannot be guaranteed and could vary from time to time. Children must be ready a few minutes prior to the designated time.  If the child is not ready, the bus cannot wait and there can be no refund.
11. Routes are determined by the drivers, in consultation with the Principal. Children are generally picked-up and dropped off at their home address. ANY ALTERATION TO THIS ARRANGEMENT MUST BE REQUESTED IN WRITING AND MUST BE APPROVED BY THE PRINCIPAL.
12. Places on the bus are limited by the number of seats available. A number of factors need to be considered and therefore places cannot be guaranteed. Bus drivers will contact parents prior to the commencement of the school term to advise time of pick-up.

I wish my son/daughter to travel on the school bus and I agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions described above.
