All students requesting enrollment are required to have scored a minimum of 85% on the last two years of day-fire handgun qualifications (this applies to duty weapon only, not secondary). These scores will be verified by the MPCTC Registrar before confirming enrollment.

Per COMAR, applicants for Firearms Instructor need two or more years employment as a law enforcement or correctional officer within the last 5 years, during which employment the individual was authorized to use or carry a firearm for a minimum of 2 years. Does this student fit this qualification?
