Please be aware that current pricing is higher than typical due to increased demand. Packages are also selling out quickly, so it's advisable to book early to ensure availability and secure the best selection.

Travel dates for: Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Week, Student Reading Week (Feb), March Break, and Easter tend to have much higher pricing than other weeks.

What bed configuration do you "require" or "are requesting" if not guaranteed? There are certain hotel brands where bed configurations are guaranteed and are not "upon request and availability" at time of check-in. This is usually the case with most hotels where bedding is not confirmed until check-in. When making your selection(s) please keep in mind your budget as the hotels that do offer a guarantee of bed configuration tend to be higher priced hotels.

Following our initial consultation over zoom, FaceTime, Messenger, or phone call, if we mutually agree to proceed and you choose to hire me as your Travel Advisor, it's at this point that I will implement my upfront Professional Planning Fee. This fee is intended to guarantee your commitment and cover my planning, administration, email, and phone communications time, and provide you priority and focus on your travel arrangements.

During our discovery call, we will discuss my upfront and non-refundable fee, which will vary depending on the complexity of your itinerary and the number of travelers. My rates are reasonable given the amount of time and effort required to plan and book your vacation.

My services will ensure that you are prepared for travel, including package options and pricing, insurance options, departure, arrival, and return requirements, travel checklists, packing tips, airport information, destination, and hotel or resort information, transfers and more. I will also assist you in case of Covid-19 or other related emergencies, advocate on your behalf should something go wrong, contact the resort, airline, or hotel with your special requests, and help with insurance claims. Additionally, I will provide you with a Bon Voyage email to ensure a seamless and stress-free travel experience.

Once my fee has been paid, I will research and select the best package options (maximum 3-4 at this price) based on your criteria from the consultation form and our discussion over zoom.

Additional Fees to be aware of:

CHANGE FEES - Modifying your travel plans or making errors can result in significant expenses. A fee of $50 +HST per adult and $15 +HST per child aged 17 and under shall apply for any modifications such as but not limited to: name changes or corrections, date changes, room category changes, occupancy changes, destination changes, resort changes, flight change request, etc. requested subsequent to the confirmation of your reservation with a booking number. To avoid incurring these unnecessary fees, it is imperative to provide accurate information, including a copy of your passport(s), and sticking to your original travel plans once booked.

CANCELLATION FEES - Please be advised that cancellation fees will be charged before your trip is canceled. To safeguard your travel investment, it is wise to purchase cancellation insurance; please ask for a quote. If you have insurance coverage through your extended work benefits or credit card provider, you may be eligible to claim these fees as part of your trip cancellation benefit. After all, stress-free vacations are always the best. 

In the event that you or your travel partner(s) need to cancel your/their reservation, the cancellation fee, along with any additional non-refundable fees and penalties as per the tour operator/airline's terms and conditions, will be charged to your credit card on file. The cancellation fee will be based on the total cost of your trip as outlined on the Professional Travel Advice and Services page of my website and specified in this agreement. The minimum cancellation fee amount would be $125* +HST per person. 

Important Information Regarding 
EMERGENCY SERVICES FEES DUE TO CLIENT NEGELIGENCE: To ensure a seamless travel experience, please make sure to take note of the following: 

In the event that your travel plans are disrupted due to client negligence, such as but not limited to: not having the necessary travel documents, arriving late for check-in, or missing a flight, an emergency service fee of $350 CAD + tax will apply. Meeting all entry requirements, including necessary vaccinations, testing and documentation is the sole responsibility of each traveler. 

My goal is to minimize additional fees and expenses when rebooking your travel components. However, please note that pre-purchased components like vouchers, private transfers, fast-track services or lounges, etc. may not be recoverable. 

Client Negligence - Failing to Prepare for Departure: Additional Charges for Last-Minute Urgent Requests.   

Please also note that any person's urgent requests to me for transfer information within 48 hours of departure to return home, will result in an charge of $200.00 +HST per booking. 

Transfers and other IMPORTANT travel information will be included within your Bon Voyage email I will send out within 1 week of travel. It is imperative to take the time to read this email thoroughly and be adequately prepared in advance of travel or the very latest 48 hours before returning home to avoid this unnecessary fee. 

Zero charges will be imposed if your urgent message is not related to any fault of your own, such as flight or transfer cancellations, or something else disrupting your travel by your tour operator, or hotel and out of your control.

To help you prepare, Charlene Calwell, The Travel Agent Next Door, will provide a comprehensive travel checklist, including a list of "how to's", and document requirements via email included in your invoice. If required, I will happily make myself available for a phone call to discuss all your travel needs prior to your departure.
