Deadline Extended to March 15th!
Hello and thank you for your interest in the James Madison's Montpelier 2024 Archaeology Field School. This year's research is Archaeology of Memorialization. We are working to understand the appearance of the Montpelier Burial Ground of the Enslaved in order to aide the Montpelier Descendants Committee in designing a Memorial to the Enslaved that is to be built at a site adjacent to the Burial Ground.
The field school will take place from Wednesday May 22nd to Friday June 28th 2024, with the first in person day on Monday May 27th 2024.

Before You Start: You will need 1) one essay explaining why you want to attend the Montpelier Field School, 2) two contacts for references, and 3) an additional essay if applying for the African American scholarship.
