Note: The fourth annual Wellesley Creates which was going to be hosted on March 28 from 9:30am to 4pm at Wellesley High School will be rescheduled to a later date due to the spread of coronavirus and the closing down of Wellesley Public Schools. When a new date is confirmed, we will communicate with all participants who are already registered and we will also post the new date on our website, Facebook, and on our other marketing platforms.
The Wellesley Creates event is open to all middle school students who either live in or attend school in Wellesley. The participants work in groups, with a high school student as a mentor, to create an app from scratch. These apps will target specific community problems such as environmental, education or health issues presented in problem statements by community members.
