The AOM Health Care Management Division's Excellence in Teaching award, which was established in 2005, recognizes innovative and outstanding teaching that takes place in our classrooms and provides the opportunity to encourage, recognize and reward the work of excellent, dedicated and inspiring teachers. Nominations are sought from the membership, and each nominee must be a University level academic staff, tenured or on full-time contract, and must have been employed in a teaching position for at least three years within higher education. Please note that this award is not reserved for the achievements of educators in the later stages of their careers, but rather is open to and encouraging of nominations for early- and mid-career individuals as well - in short, anyone exhibiting excellence as health care management educators.
The following form allows for individuals to be nominated for consideration. All nominations will be received and considered by the AOM HCM Division Teaching Committee's Excellence in Teaching Award sub-committee. Anonymous nominations are not accepted, but individuals may self-nominate. Nominees considered by the award sub-committee to be strong candidates will be subsequently contacted to provide further documentation as well as potential individuals who could provide letters of recommendation.
