Thank you for your interest in joining Girls Rock Campaign Boston (GRCB) Youth Activism Project (YAP) this summer!

YAP's Summer Intensive is a free opportunity for girls and youth with marginalized gender identities, ages 13-18, who have been involved in GRCB's programming in the past.

YAP's Summer Intensive is for youth who want to take on leadership at a high level within GRCB, and guide the organization moving forward.  There will be additional leadership opportunities to steer GRCB social media for youth who are interested.

YAP will meet virtually from 3-5 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for three weeks: July 13th to July 29th.

During this time YAP youth will work together to identify an issue of concern for GRCB youth, use data to determine how well GRCB is addressing this issue, and collaborate to envision how GRCB could change to better address the issue. YAP youth will present their findings and suggestions for how to move forward to the GRCB staff and Board of Directors. The staff and board will use this presentation to guide their choices for the following year.

Please know that we have limited spaces for Youth Activists and may not be able to accommodate all applicants. Our goal is to cultivate a community that encompasses folks of different life experiences, backgrounds, and history of involvement with our organization. We also greatly consider applicants expression of wanting to positively impact and or learn from others in the space as well as their own self development.

Recommendation letters and proof of participation are happily granted upon completion.
