ALVSCE Workshop Survey
We are the ALVSCE Data Science Team at the University of Arizona. We offer monthly workshops (https://datascience.cals.arizona.edu/workshops) on a variety of intermediate topics that span a range across data management, reproducibility, computational skills, and statistics.  These are open to everyone in ALVSCE, which includes CALS, Cooperative Extension, and the Arizona Experiment Station.

The purpose of these workshops is to help researchers solve more specific problems in their research that are blocking or slowing down their progress, as opposed to more general introductory material. For example, we wouldn't teach regression, but we would teach regression applied to a specific research area.

We also do not want our workshops to be redundant with some of the other great training efforts happening at UA, some of which are listed below:

- Introductory R by the Libraries: https://new.library.arizona.edu/events/r-programming-help
- Containers and open science by CyVerse: https://cyverse.org/learning
- ResBaz Arizona: https://researchbazaar.arizona.edu/
- Carpentries workshops
- Domain-specific semester courses

We are looking to gather more information on what types of workshop content would be most valuable to researchers in ALVSCE. If you already have a particular topic in mind, feel free to contact us here! https://datascience.cals.arizona.edu/contact
