The survey is designed around the outcome of a 1-2 day school visit by Classical Education Consulting. What goes into a visit from school professionals? What sorts of things do school professionals look at when they visit a school? How do school professionals evaluate the inner-workings of a school in a manner that is fair and equitable? In a sense, this is an *accreditation-lite* survey.
Designed intentionally as a universal glimpse into school leadership, management, and communication, this survey aims at evaluating a school-as-a-school-as-such, not necessarily as a "Classical" school or a "Christian" school. Every school has administrators, teachers, students, parents, curriculum, etc.
This brief survey is designed as a quick self-reflection for administrators, teachers, parents, board members, and other stakeholders as a fresh perspective on how their school is doing. We are aware of accreditation categories, say from the state, ACCS, ACSI, etc., but we have chosen to offer a "brief glimpse" approach for thoughtful engagement.
We hope that this survey is fruitful and can lead to strategic vision conversations with 1, 2, 3 to 5-year plans and outcomes.
There are 3 categories, 35 questions total, with a rating system of 0-10 for each question. You may see the rating systems and categories below. The ratings will be listed under each question for easy reference.
Note: We recommend you tally your overall score and divide by 350, creating a percentage. This percentage can then be ranked on the rating scale that you have used to answer all the questions (e.g. 63%="Acceptable" Health Score).
