BCC - BABES Submission Form 👶
Hey cuties!

Welcome to the submission form for BABES! An improv show featuring students & grads of the BCC on Friday nights @ 7:00 PM at the brand spankin' new BCC PIG PEN space (144 Boerum St, Brooklyn - about a 2 min walk from The BCC Dog House and Eris!)

The BCC showcases fearless and irreverent live comedy with a strong point of view. We celebrate bold, risk-taking shows and strive to foster and promote the Brooklyn comedy community by creating a welcome space for artistic experimentation.

What's BABES all about? Giving members of our community the stage to fuck around, mess around, be a god-damn lunatic. And by that, we mean do improv.

Each show will consist of three student teams sharing an hour slot (20 min set) that are primarily composed of students & grads of our classes. You can do any improv form you like. The space features a half-moon stage roughly 11' feet wide by 8 feet deep, and the house can fit around 60 audience members (40 seats and the rest as standing room).

Each team will split 60% of the profits from the $10 tickets after meeting a $75 cover.

The Fine Print:
-All other slots are 20 minutes each with a max run-time of 75 minutes for the whole show.
-The BCC provides online ticketing with check in at the door, as well as credit card and cash sales at the door.
-Alcohol is not permitted in any way (NO BYOB) but we got non-alcoholic bevies galore.
-We provide a keyboard in the space, but musical improv shows must pay for their own accompanist. We'll try to book the the same accompanist on one night to help split the cost amongst the teams.
-All shows at the Pig Pen are 18+.
-Each team gets 3 personal comps to use per show.
-Students enrolled in six-week core classes at The BCC get into all shows free on a standby basis.

Payout:
- Teams at BABE earn a percentage of the box office, which can then be passed along to your cast members/performers at your own discretion. The cut is 60% of box office after the first $75 in ticket sales - and split amongst the 3 teams equally. The payout won't be huge, but it is incentive to invite everyone you've ever met, and for sold-out shows teams can expect to earn around $100 per night.
-There's no penalty fee in the event the $75 cover isn't met - but, c'mon girl, you can sell 5 tickets.

All submissions are reviewed by Maya Sharma (Programming Director). If we decide to produce your show, it may take us up to two months to get back to you, as we are typically programmed one month in advance.
