School Garden Giveaway
We are giving away a raised bed garden to one lucky school or public serving institution this summer. We recently removed four wood raised beds (pictured above!) from a client's house and they need a new home. The giveaway includes:
  • Delivery and installation of four 4'x8'x10" wooden raised beds (for a total of 128 square feet of growing space)
  • Soil to fill beds
  • Organic fertilizer
  • Season appropriate veggie & herb plants
  • Plant labels for easy identification
  • All 4 seasons of our virtual workshop (so you can learn how to take care of it)
  • An arch trellis planted with peavine flowers!
How to Enter:
  1. Write a short paragraph about your school and your plans for the garden
  2. Receive permission from the administration of the school/institution to install the garden in an agreed upon location. We recommend scouting for a location with full sun exposure and access to water. You will need an area measuring roughly 24'x16' for the garden.
  3. Collect the name and email address of 20 parents, community leaders, teachers, or volunteers that are interested in being involved in the care of the garden. By signing up they are consenting to receive a few emails from us about the garden, and being added to our general newsletter.
  4. Submit your entry by midnight on Friday June 30th, 2023.
All educational institutions within Miami-Dade county are welcome to apply. This includes private, public & charter schools, daycare centers, libraries, community centers, and homeschool groups. We will choose a winner and the garden will be installed sometime in August 2023.

The below 20 individuals are interested in the well being and success of the garden and consent to receive emails from us about the garden (to help keep it on track) and to be added to our general mailing list for other educational garden info. Note that this requirement is not a commitment of involvement from individuals, but a signifier to us that people in your learning community are excited to help and learn about caring for a garden.

You must submit 20 names and 20 corresponding email addresses. We recommend that you keep track of collected names and emails in a spreadsheet and copy the whole list into this form when you are ready to submit it.
