Sign up to be a mentor or sponsor the X Academy robotics team. The X Academy currently has a high school robotics team competing the MATE Underwater Robotics Competition. Each year 100s of teams from around the world build ROVs to complete a set of tasks that simulate real world ROVs - searching for ship wrecks, surveying and repairing coral reefs, maintaining underwater power lines and supporting aqua culture.

Each year the team forms a company just like a Silicon Valley startup - they select a leadership team, raise funding, design, build and test an ROV, and market the ROV. Last year the team competed for the first time and place 7th at the World Championships!

This is a chance to help the next generations of tech entrepreneurs get started. Who knows, someday they could be the next Joby Aviation or Looker from Santa Cruz!
