Looking to get involved in theater at Berkeley? BareStage Productions is UC Berkeley's oldest and largest student theater company! We typically produce two shows a semester and have opportunities for all levels and time commitment to get involved. This upcoming semester, there are four exciting ways to get involved in BareStage:

Titus Andronicus: Dubbed his “horror play”, Titus Andronicus is one of Shakespeare’s most controversial works, depicting on stage such atrocities that would drive any sane person mad. The play tells the tale of a soldier, fatigued from the many years of fighting for his country, returned home, aged and battered, to find nothing but death and loss as his reward. What follows, the sorrows of the house of Andronici and the revenge sought by those blighted, shall affect the whole of Rome. So, dear patrons, prepare yourselves for our gruesome tale, and whatever you do, don’t eat any of the pie.

Auditions will be January 28th/29th in the Choral Rehearsal Hall with a virtual option. Callbacks will be in-person on January 30th from 2-6pm

Legally Blonde: The Musical: Based on the hit movie, Legally Blonde: The Musical tells the tale of Elle Woods as she follows an ex-love to Harvard Law School, only to realize the potential she possessed within herself. Filled with memorable characters, exciting songs, and lots of fun, this show highlights the values of friendship, standing up for what you believe, and not judging a book by its cover.

Auditions will take place February 4th/5th in person in the Choral Rehearsal Hall. Callbacks will take place on February 6th from 2-6pm

BarePage - A NEW Ensemble focusing on student-directed short pieces, particularly student-written work. BarePage meets once a week from 2-6 on Sundays. We welcome writers, directors, actors, and anyone with a general interest in theater.
