SEL Conference Presentation Submissions

We would love to highlight the great work of our members and practitioners from around Iowa & beyond during our in-person conference on April 17th, 2026!

If you or someone you know would like to submit a presentation proposal (proposal types below), please complete this form. We are looking for individuals wanting to highlight innovative practices and/or research that advances the knowledge and practice of social and emotional learning. Please share this form with an invitation to any colleagues you'd like to see present! Submissions are due October 31, 2025.

The conference will be held on the University of Northern Iowa campus, Cedar Falls, Iowa. The conference will run from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. If your session is chosen for inclusion, you receive free registration for the conference with lunch provided.

Proposal types:

Traditional Presentation: 50 minute presentation of innovative practices and/or research.

PechaKucha: This is a storytelling presentation of 20 images each on the screen for 20 seconds. See https://www.pechakucha.com/about to learn more about this exciting presentation style. All PechaKucha sessions will focus on either student or adult SEL practices. We will combine several PechaKucha presentations by theme.

7 minute PechaKucha Style. These presentations are great for educators to showcase what works in their classrooms/schools. Be creative in sharing your practices! This would also be a great method for sharing educator wellness strategies.

50 minute Traditional Style

If our schedule allows, we may offer 70 minute Traditional Style, check if interested
