Informed Consent

This is a study being conducted by a student researcher from Alverno College. 

The purpose of this study is to identify the experiences of theatre artisteducators around identity and representation issues. The goal is to identify patterns in the experiences that artist/educators are experiencing for future development of frameworks for theatre artisteducators and their needs when facilitating culturally responsive classrooms that are representative of and empathetic to all identity groups. 

You are eligible to participate in this study if you are a current or recently retired theatre artisteducator.  You should not participate if you have left the practice prior to 2017.

You will be asked to complete the following survey which should take approximately 5-10  minutes. If at any time you do not want to participate anymore, you may close your browser and leave the survey. 

Your name or any other identifier will not be collected in this survey, and your personal data will not be identified in the results. All responses will be kept completely confidential, unless you voluntarily submit your email address for potential follow up questions.

Also note, your de-identified data could be used for future research studies or distributed to another investigator for future research studies without your additional informed consent.

Please realize that there are risks to participating in internet-based research with regard to potential breaches of privacy or anonymity and be sure to close your internet browser once you have finished the survey to protect your privacy. In addition, you can further safeguard your privacy by deleting the webpage history from your browser after closing the survey link.
