CLUB SAFETY GUIDELINES & RUN ETIQUETTES *

GENERAL

  • MUST BE 18 & UP TO PARTICIPATE.

  • IF IT’S DARK OUTSIDE, PLEASE WEAR REFLECTIVE GEAR AND/OR LIGHTS FOR VISIBILITY.

  • DON’T BE DISTRACTED BY ELECTRONIC DEVICES THAT TAKE YOUR EYES OR EARS OFF THE ROAD.

  • WHEN NEARBY ROADS, NEVER ASSUME THE DRIVER SEES YOU. MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH DRIVERS AS THEY APPROACH TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE SEEN.

  • STAY HYDRATED.

TUESDAY RUNS (@ THE EXCHANGE RUNNING COLLECTIVE)

  • WHILE RUNNING ON THE STREET, TRY TO RUN NO MORE THAN TWO PEOPLE ACROSS AND STAY TO THE RIGHT SIDE UNLESS YOU’RE PASSING SOMEONE.

  • BE MINDFUL OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND WHEN RUNNING IN A GROUP IF YOU’RE IN FRONT, BE MINDFUL OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE FOLLOWING YOU. MAKE SURE THEY AREN’T FOLLOWING YOU INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC.

  • IF YOU PLAN ON RUNNING WITH YOUR DOG, HAVE THE LEASH SHORT ENOUGH SO THAT YOUR DOG DOESN’T IMPEDE OR TRIP OTHER RUNNERS.

  • IF YOU’RE WEARING HEADPHONES, HAVE THE VOLUME LOW ENOUGH THAT YOU CAN HEAR OTHERS AROUND YOU.

CLUB WAIVER *

I agree that I am voluntarily engaging in activities with 6RUN5, and I know that running in and volunteering for organized group runs with 6RUN5 and its social events, runs, and races (collectively, “events”) are potentially hazardous activities which could cause injury or death. I will not participate in any 6RUN5 events, unless I am medically able and properly trained. By my agreement, I certify that I am in good health and medically able to perform and participate in all events.

I ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH ANY EVENT INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, FALLS; CONTACT WITH OTHER PARTICIPANTS; THE EFFECTS OF THE WEATHER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, HAIL, HIGH HEAT AND/OR HUMIDITY; TRAFFIC; SIGNAGE OR LACK THEREOF; AND ROAD OR PATH CONDITIONS; AND ALL SUCH RISKS BEING KNOWN AND APPRECIATED BY ME. HAVING READ THIS WAIVER AND KNOWING THESE FACTS AND IN CONSIDERATION OF ATTENDING 6RUN5 EVENTS I, FOR MYSELF AND ANYONE ENTITLED TO ACT ON MY BEHALF, WAIVE AND RELEASE 6RUN5 AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, SUB-CONTRACTORS, VOLUNTEERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, MARKETERS, CLUB MEMBERS, DESIGNEES, SPONSORS AND THEIR REPRESENTATIVES AND SUCCESSORS FROM ALL CLAIMS, ACTIONS, DAMAGES, COSTS, EXPENSES, OR LIABILITIES OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF MY PARTICIPATION WITH 6RUN5, EVEN THOUGH THAT LIABILITY MAY ARISE OUT OF NEGLIGENCE OR CARELESSNESS ON THE PART OF 6RUN5 AND THE ENTITIES OR PERSONS NAMED IN THIS WAIVER.

This liability waiver shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Tennessee.

MEDIA RELEASE WAIVER *
I further grant 6RUN5. 6RUn5 non-revocable permission to capture my image and likeness in photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings, or any other media (collectively “images”). I acknowledge that 6RUN5 will own such images and further grant 6RUN5 permission to copyright, display, publish, distribute, use, modify, print and reprint such images in any manner whatsoever related to 6RUN5, and/or 6RUN5 business, including without limitation, social media, marketing platforms, publications, promotions, advertisements, brochures, website images, or other electronic displays and transmissions thereof. I further waive any right to inspect or approve the use of the image by 6RUN5 prior to its use, and additionally waive any right to any profit 6RUN5 may obtain from the use of the aforementioned images. I forever release and hold 6RUN5 harmless from any and all liability arising out of the use of the images in any manner or media whatsoever, and waive any and all claims and causes of action relating to use of the images, including without limitation, claims for invasion of privacy rights or publicity.
