Welcome to the 7th Annual D.C.B.A. Convention, happening virtually Thursday, July 1 to Saturday, July 3, 2021. Before you fill out and submit this form, please read the instructions and you must have your workshop confirmation number. Please check the website at

If this is your first time participating in a Virtual Show, and you are not sure of what to do, no worries. See below for important instructions. These instructions will be repeated in a confirmation email that will be sent to you shortly after you sign up.
Recording your performance video...
You may use your Cellphone, Video camera, Webcam etc. to record your video, please make sure video is recorded in HD 16.9 (wide screen) Make sure the volume is up on your device when recording, also make sure the music is clear when recording. No profanity in the music, please. If you send a performance video with any type of profanity we will reject it. Video format is best at MP4, but we will try and work with other formats. Have a nice or empty background and some space to move when recording, but do not use such a large background that you get lost in the video. Do not have any bright light behind you or next to you. While we embrace creative expression in all art forms, keep in mind that this is a dance show; please send us a dance performance video. If your video does not meet these guidelines, it may be rejected.
Performance times are:
- 6 minutes for Soloists
- 8 minutes for Duets/Trios
-10 minutes for Troupes/Groups of 4 or more dancers.
How to send your Video...
UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO ONTO A SHARE NETWORK LIKE DROPBOX, ONE-DRIVE, GOOGLE DRIVE, ETC. AFTER YOU HAVE UPLOADED IT, EMAIL THE DOWNLOAD LINK TO:
dcbadance@gmail.com. REMEMBER TO INCLUDE YOUR DANCE NAME, THE NAME OF THE SONG YOU ARE DANCING TO AND THE ARTIST IF KNOWN. VIDEO SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE BY JUNE 5TH!
WE WELCOME TROUPE MEMBERS WHO WISH TO PERFORM INDIVIDUALLY OR IN SMALLER GROUPS. YOU WILL NEED TO SUBMIT SEPARATE FORMS AND VIDEOS.

There will be three shows - one on each night of the Convention. You will be notified of the lineups as soon as they completed. The shows are scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, East Coast (EST) Time.
