Sine Nomine Winter 2021 Performance Project
Join Sine Nomine: Renaissance Choir and director Anne Lyman for our winter project!

THE LONELY CITY--Lamentations from Renaissance Spain

PROGRAM (to be selected from the following)

   Guerrero, Hei mihi, Domine
   Vasquez, Lagrimas de mi Consuelo

   Victoria, O Vos Omnes
   Zielenski, Vox in Rama
   Morales, Pastores Dicite

This virtual singing opportunity is open to EVERYONE who has a love of Renaissance polyphony and would like to learn more about the music, history, and culture that makes this music so uniquely beautiful. And you can complete the project all in the comfort of your own home!

DATES
January 17 to February 18, 2021
PERFORMANCE (You Tube): Sunday, March 14, at 3:00pm PST.

DESCRIPTION
Here is what you will receive as part of this project:
----Music scores made available in PDF form (to view online or print out) and via "scrolling score" videos plus midi files for practicing
--Five (5) pre-recorded audio and video lessons distributed over the five (5) week project period
--Five (5) weekly live meetings (on Zoom, Thursday evenings, 7:00-8:30pm PST) with everyone who is participating in the project
--OPTIONAL: Opportunity to contribute individual audio, and possibly video, recordings of the pieces we are learning about

PERFORMANCE (Virtual)
Our final performance will take place in the form of a YouTube premiere presented by Anne Lyman on Sunday, MARCH 14, 2020 at 3pm PST. It will include our recorded performances and a slide show populated by pictures of all of you plus various images from the culture of Renaissance Spain.

COST
The cost for this project is $80 per participant. Please note that some scholarship funds (partial/full) are available as needed; requests for consideration may be sent to:  sinenomineseattle@gmail.com

We are interested to know the locations from where singers are participating. From what city and state are you joining us?
You will receive one audio/video lesson per week beginning January 17. Our Zoom meetings will take place on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30 PM PST, beginning January 21. Attendance is not required to participate in the project, but can provide additional opportunities to engage with the music and with each other. Do you plan to participate in the Zoom meetings? (Recordings of the Thursday Zoom lessons will also be made available for viewing on YouTube afterward.) *
