The Our Lady Career Ministry Mentoring pillar was established to provide a) one-on-one mentoring and discernment opportunities for young professionals seeking early career guidance, b) those seeking to re-enter the workforce, and c) anyone that wants to develop a relationship with a trusted mentor for general guidance on living Catholic in our daily vocations. A team of successful businessmen and women will be recruited and connected with those needing individual career mentorship.  The life cycle of this relationship is largely up to the needs and availability of mentor/mentee; however it is envisioned that a long term symbiotic relationship develops to transverse various stages and years. 

Further, the Mentor provides expertise and practical "know how" in gaining the trust of the Mentee.  The Mentor facilitates trouble shooting new strategies and ideas, but the Mentee must be engaged in and own the process.  Mentors should give honest and direct feedback.  The goal should be to help the Mentee discern and navigate choices and develop energy and enthusiasm to embrace his or her vocation.  

In addition to agreeing to be prayer partners, we ask that mentor/mentee meet frequently (perhaps  monthly if possible) for three to six month, and continue onward as long as both would like.
