Erasmus+ Youth Exchange "Upgrade Yourself: Soft Skills" from 21st to 28th of June, 2019
The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange "Upgrade Yourself: Soft Skills" will bring 36 young (17-29 years old) people from Norway, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Italy and Romania (6 from each country) to Daugirdiskes Training Center, Lithuania from 21st to 28th of June, 2019.
We all gained some skills from schools, past jobs, volunteering in organisations, responsibilities, life experiences and interests. Most of young people may even have some hidden skills, which could be added to their CV, when it is identified. The problem is the importance of these soft skills are often undervalued, not being that much developed at High schools. Formal curriculum is mostly based around development of your academical rather soft skills.
The aim of the Youth Exchange project is to develop competencies (skills, knowledge and attitudes) of young people, which are needed in order to be faster noticed in labour market, increase sense of tolerance, diversity, entrepreneurial values and provide tools, methods, how these skills could be developed in local and national levels.
Objectives of the project are to:
- provide participants better understanding of their soft skills and personality;
- develop competences on topics of emotional intelligence, soft skills, youth unemployment in participating countries, cultural diversity, conflict solving and importance of psychological safety;
- develop participants sense of initiative, responsibility, independence, critical thinking, abilities to express and communicate in foreign language;
- create a set of tools, which could be used to help peers to develop their competences and raise the level of cultural, social and work environment awareness.
