Disciples Justice Ministries invite you to engage in virtual advocacy visits as Congress enters its Fall season. Interested persons from congregations, regions, families, and neighborhoods are invited to build a small team and make visits to raise concerns about fair and just conditions and treatment of those most vulnerable to unjust systems that ingrain poverty and inequities.
After sign up, you can find a Disciples Advocacy Toolkit here:
https://disciples.org/resources/justice/advocacy-tool-kit/ to guide you in making appointments. See also the two "advocacy tips" videos on the same page.
Disciples Justice Ministries are happy to provide you with backgrounders, talking points, and "leave behind" documents related to your key issues of interest, and/or for concerns identified by Disciples Justice Ministries partner representatives. Legislative visits may be made virtually, to take place either in local/in-district US Senate & House offices in leaders' home state offices, or with their national offices in D.C.
