02.11.20 - Garden Upkeep Registration
Join the Office of Student Volunteerism and the Office of Sustainability as we maintain the UT Dallas Community Garden, an on-campus resource for student volunteers to learn the benefits of community greening and organic gardening.

Volunteers will work outdoors with garden and landscaping tasks. Manual labor such as weeding, planting, organizing garden tools, etc. may be required.

Students will meet at the Student Services Addition (SSA) lobby at 12:00 p.m. and walk to the UT Dallas Community Garden together. We will volunteer at the Community Garden until 1:30 p.m. This is an on-campus event, so no transportation is necessary!

Volunteers are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and weather appropriate clothing they do not mind getting dirty. OSV will provide water, gloves, sunscreen and hats for volunteers.

Proof of Service Hours

If you need proof of service hours (i.e. for a class, organization, court order, etc), you may bring a form to the volunteer event or OSV office (SSA 14.431T) to be signed and authorized.

The OSV is not responsible for providing proof of service hours. It is the student's responsibility to provide documentation. OSV can only authorize hours for OSV events; consequently, we CANNOT authorize hours from outside agencies, student organizations, classes, or other UT Dallas departments. Students that serve outside of the OSV will need to confirm hours with the agency/student organization/department that hosted the event or service project.
