A Note from Director Michael Day:
A wise person once said “Comedy (and especially farce) is believable people in unbelievable circumstances”. I strongly believe in developing believable characters through table work, where we develop back stories, relationships, and current circumstances to inform our work. I operate in a collaborative mode, and welcome, and expect, each actor to bring their feelings, ideas, and creativity into the process. Rehearsals are our time to play, to see what works, and what doesn’t. I count on my actors to tell ME who their characters are. And although, as director, I reserve the right to final say, I always strive to fit the actors’ ideas into the truth of the script.

About the play: It’s Courtney’s wedding day, and her mom, Delia, is making sure that everything is perfect. The groom is perfect, the dress is perfect, and the decorations (assuming they arrive) will be perfect. Then, like in any good farce the doorbell rings. And all hell breaks loose. So much for perfect. (Courtesy Dramatists Play Service)
