CLINIC-CYLC: Community-Based Immigration Legal Services Fellowship Application Summer 2025 -Los Angeles Mission College
This fellowship was created to help equipt low-income and youth of color, particularly youth from historically marginalized backgrounds, with the necessary tools to learn the fundamentals of immigration law and explore the possibility of entering the immigration legal field as legal advocates or practitioners without needing to go to law school.

The fellowship will run from May 29, 2025, to February 27, 2026.

This nine-month fellowship includes taking immigration law training from the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC). This training consists of their Comprehensive Overview of Immigration Law (COIL) virtual e-course. The student fellows are then placed at a community-based immigration legal services organization to gain hands-on training in immigration law. Student fellows will also receive the academic and social-emotional support needed to learn and succeed in this field.

During the nine-month fellowship, fellows will be awarded up to $10,000 in stipends and $5,000 in scholarships.

Please be prepared to spend at least 10 hours per week on this course, meetings, and training and at least 10 hours per week at your field placement.

Upon completion of the course, student fellows who pass the final will receive a certificate for COIL.
